MEDITATIVE SONG
on BROTHER DAT'S
PROFESSION OF PERPETUAL VOWS.

Brother DAT:

Opened to the world,
With burning heart for CHRIST,
Day after day, month after month,
I consecrate myself to GOD.
Opened to the world,
I hear the call of GOD!

Community:

God comes to you, Brother,
Through the poor, the uneducated little ones
Who are calling you to open their mind,
To open school where they can find love.

Little Child:

Brother, come to me!
Live with me,
In love,
In trust,
Teach me how to love GOD
So I can sing praise to the LORD.

Brother DAT:

Opened to the world,
With a burning heart for CHRIST,
Day after day, month after month,
I consecrate myself to GOD.
Opened to the world,
I hear the call of GOD!

Community:

Brother, look at the poor children
Wandering, uneducated
Knowing nowhere to go
Without any future.
What a life!
What a call!

Brother DAT:

Here I am, God!
I consecrate my WHOLE life to you,
So that these little ones can be liberated from ignorance,
And can love JESUS and this world with a burning heart

Chorus:

My life is settled
I have found the way,
Like a thirsting deer finding the running spring.
This is the Lasallian way of life,
Come and join us,
Together and by association,
Let's consecrate ourselves for the Reign of God (bis)
