8. CONCLUSION
We must let time do its work. We know that it will take years to bring our plans to fruition, and perhaps even to change mentalities and the habits of a lifetime. We think, however, that the 42nd General Chapter in 1993 will be a good opportunity to take stock of how the Lasallian Family is progressing. The Chapter will be able to assess the developments and achievements that have taken place the world over, arid possibly add fresh impetus.
As we go forward, we count on as many as possible of you to come with us. We count especially on the help of the Holy Spirit: we are sure he will not fail us if we listen to his voice, follow his inspiration and read the signs he sends us.
The Most Holy Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph occupy a privileged position in the Brothers' Institute, because they are central to the life of the Brothers. May their living presence and that of the Founder always be with us; and, in the company of our beatified and canonised Brothers, may they be our intercessors in Heaven and our sure guides on earth, as we seek to make the Lasallian Family grow and develop.
